I've been a both a gamer and a musician all my life. I started out in classical music as a vocalist and trained in operatic styles, along with music theory and piano.

Later my focused turned to music production, and then composing for games as I bought my love for the two together.

Sneak peak of my tribute arrangement of Nightcall by @kavinsky 💔 Gone far too soon. I hope to share the full finished piece in a week or two.

Although I wish this tribute wasn't required... as an artist you can only dream that your work goes on to inspire people long after you are gone. This is certainly true for him. His influence will be felt across music for many generations to come.

Fantasy and Cyberpunk are two of my all time favourite genres of media, and though I've yet to share my cyberpunk pieces, Kavinsky is an influence of mine too.

Based on the notes she shared on the character, I wanted it to capture a sense of dark and rising passion... building into a frightening obsession.

I myself became a little obsessed over this piece, until I could get the feeling "just" right. A sense of beauty in the harp, building tension through the strings, and imposing pressure from brass towards the finale.

I couldn’t remix the original while also replacing audio so had to re-upload directly. I working on a finishing the piece; as well as a piece inspired by another character shared from the series Friedrich.

Please keep in mind the audio is not mixed for smartphones! ☺️🙏🏻 I may need to learn to do that for social media, but it’s quite the task. I also discovered that uploading via phone Instagram likes to mess up the audio/visual timing so hoping a desktop upload fixes that. 😅

It’s been a busy, tiring time! But my old place finally sold. A new chapter begins… and I can make some upgrades to my home studio space. 🥳 🙌🏻 I think I’ll give myself a week to just enjoy and relax, before I start planning out my content for this account. Exciting stuff is LOADING!

Sorry I disappeared! Life turned very busy all of a sudden and has delayed my return! I went on a wonderful family trip with my partner to Germany, and now my house has finally sold! So I’m dealing with that around work too. Oh, and running my first D&D campaign, studying my music… 😅 Sadly streaming has had to pause for a bit. But I’m planning to do a special stream very soon when I get the chance. I haven’t played Dwarf Fortress in well over a month and I can’t wait! 🥰 ⛏️

I have a lot of things to figure out right now, life is changing a bit as I say a proper goodbye to my old home. It feels like a transition… so watch this space! Change is coming.

Meet Olin Sandsilver… or, that’s the name he has given to us. A 137 year old vampire who lived in the bowels of our fortress for 20 years before his recent escape.

He was responsible for the death of our Military Commander Rakust, right before we had planned to start sending squads out to conquer the goblin hoards in the south. He then tried his luck at Asen, the fort’s Mayer and former military commander. But he didn’t stop there, he then attempted to drain the Queen... but he did manage to take out Muthkat our legendary weaponsmith.

Perhaps he has a more sinister plan than we realised…

After discovering his military history, of leading one side of a bloody war between two Dwarven civilisations lead by necromancers… perhaps he is trying to take us down from the inside.

However, this war and his original home were located on another continent separated from our own (The Land of Hiding) by the treacherous Mighty Ocean. After the fighting was done, he desecrated a holy shrine in his home fort and was cursed by a giant toad goddess to roam the darkness in search of blood for the rest of his unnatural life.

He must have fled UNDER the sea through the caverns to reach us…

All I know is, Olin was a much darker character than we ever realised. After essentially breaking out of his cell, he is now once again held in his isolation chamber just above our magma forge. There he will stay… but I have great plans for him. Oh yes…

I'm Abbie! I'm a video game composer (although I also compose for films, series and other projects too) composing soundtracks that bring stories, characters and worlds to life. I deliver carefully refined, unique tracks with distinctive voice to make your game immersive, emotive, and unforgettable.
